Referral Coordinator Serves as the primary contact/ resource person for patients, primary care physicians and other health care service providers.
Schedule appointments for new and existing patients.
DUTIES:
New Patients and existing referrals Verifying the type of insurance and proper authorization as needed.
Contacting the referring physician to obtain referral form.
Obtain any added documents as needed.
Records referrals in computer.
Help with all other duties of the department as needed.
Update co-payments in the computer.
Mail new patient packets Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
High School graduate or GED (General Education Diploma) required.
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience working in a medical office preferred.
